Vehicle Applications
The customer's vehicle enters our dealership and the dealer work order and options are reviewed.
Masking and Prep Work
The protection of the vehicle begins by masking off exposed areas and the lines are then determined. The next step is to remove hardware and panels. When this process is complete, we then begin to abrade the surface to which our product is to be applied. In this process the entire surface area is abraded and this ensures a strong bond with the substrate and the lining material.
Once the vehicle has been abraded, it is blown out with high pressure air and tacked down to remove any residue, oils or moisture. We then do a walk around to ensure that all masking is correct. The next step is to place the vehicle into the application area. The application takes from 25 to 40 minutes and the liner is applied in layers to the desired thickness. The vehicle remains in the area for 20 to 40 minutes until all solid material is removed from the booth. Then the vehicle is removed from the application area and all trim tape and masking materials are removed.
All hardware is re-installed , trim lines cleaned and vehicle checked for overspray. The customer is then called and informed the vehicle is ready for delivery. The process usually takes 4-5 hours start to finish and is fully cured and ready for normal use in 24 hours.
